Kolkata Knight Riders' Comback With A Six

Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo Re? Not really.

It was a dream start for Deccan Chargers and just the start Adam Gilchrist would have wanted. Chaminda Vaas opening the first over of the IPL match went to claim the first wicket of the first ball of the DLF IPL 2010 opener.

The crowd erupts in joy and the whole of D.Y.Patil was roaring on their feet. The Chargers lived up to their name and charged right back by dissing the skipper Saurav Ganguly. Vaas got another one to move off the seam and invited Ganguly for the drive which resulted in a catch in first slip. With two wickets in one over the chargers were pumped up and it seemed KKR will be chocked to a meagre total.

R.P.Singh struggled with his line and length and the first six of IPL was whacked by Hodge of R.P. Singh and the ball sailed towards mid wicket. Pujara was just finding his feet but chipped it to Ojha at mid-on and Singh got his first.

How're you feeling Shahrukh Khan? All iz well?

Jaskaran Singh who was initially taken for the leather dismissed the dangerous Hodge and the dug out of KKR gave a gloomy look as wickets kept falling. Angelo Mathews and OA Shah shifted gears swiftly and made sure KKR doesn’t fall into the pit. The recovery was on and Mathews dispatched Jaskaran for a six. Getting off the mark in style the duo played a cameo to avoid a nightmare for the KKR.

Ojha and Symonds tried to stop the momentum but the batsman without giving them any chance to settle down carried their innings to take KKR post a respectable total on the board. Both the batsman made half centuries with some clean, meaty shots and left the Chargers chase a competitive total of 162 runs to win.
