Chennai Super Kings Get Toasted By Daredevils

Advice To Dhoni: Shut Up Sometimes

The Super Kings captain seemed slightly overconfident of winning the match, but with him replacing Raina at first down, it was an entire mess.

Winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Super Kings didn’t go to a flyer. Hayden has not been in good touch and departed early, but with Suresh Raina getting runs, one couldn’t understand Dhoni stepping up.

Dhoni went for a duck and then the Daredevils with some good bowling performance chocked the Super Kings. It was their part time spinners that did the job as Sehwag and Dilshan picked the crucial wickets and Badrinath could only paddle Chennai for just 113.

113 on board and with fire packs in the dug out, Delhi was expected to win the match convincingly, but Gambhir had to sweat out and fight till the end to make sure Delhi doesn’t loose the match.

Ashwin with his magic arm produced the wicket of Warner and then Bollinger plunged in with two big wickets. Sehwag chased a wide delivery and Hayden held a superb catch to dismiss him.

Dilshan struggled to find room and dragged on to the stumps, to leave the Cheapuk emerge in joy. Dhoni was certainly not in a mood to throw away the match and keeping the net run rate in mind, he tweaked his bowlers.

Spin coming into action and the pitch supporting it Chennai was on a roll. Though the score was not huge, but with the top order collapse a close match was expected.

Karthik worked away with singles and so as Gambhir as boundaries got dried up and both the dug outs were just anxious. Karthik trying to pull the ball couldn’t connect well and Badrinath took a well judged catch to slice another feather of Delhi.

Mithun Manhas had to play the sheet anchor role and support Gambhir who played a captain’s knock to keep Delhi alive. Without taking much risks and rotating the strikes rightly the Delhi duo played to their credit to take Delhi safely home.

Gambhir came out with yet another fighting fifty and most importantly a much needed one. Had Delhi lost him, Dhoni and his men could have gambled the game in their favor.

Well Chennai has lost the match, but certainly is not out of the tournament. They have a healthy run rate and a win in the next will tighten their place.

Dhoni said Deccan has to loose, but Gilly and his men are doing no nepotism. Well so much is going on on the pitch and off the pitch.

IPL has certainly been an entertainer, but Modi doesn’t seem to be enjoying nowadays.

Eyeballs have moved to news channels away from Max, but the cricket lovers won’t mind as long as the coin goes up.
